Inspired by the success story of The Foundry in Hobsonville, developers Zaha Capital recognised the demand for a similar light-industrial development in the vibrant Bay of Plenty region. Seizing the opportunity presented by Papamoa's strategic location, known for its sustained growth and excellent connectivity, The Hatch was conceived as a pioneering venture, poised to make its mark as the first of its kind in the area. Zaha Capital sought One to One Hundred's expertise to develop a distinct brand amidst a crowded commercial landscape.
Collaborating closely with the developer and Colliers International, we discerned that The Hatch would attract a community of innovative entrepreneurs and small businesses with a creative edge. This revelation paved the way for the development of an unconventional brand, one that defies norms and surpasses expectations within the property market. Embracing the region's vibrant "live, work & play" culture and the dynamic energy synonymous with entrepreneurship and start-ups, we crafted a brand that champions innovation above convention. The name "The Hatch" was purposefully chosen for its evocative association with fresh plans and boundless ideas.
Infusing creative energy into every aspect of the brand narrative, we art-directed and rendered the development's spaces in 3D, showcasing their adaptability and imaginative potential. Delicate environmental design details seamlessly integrated the key graphic elements of the brand, while hand-drawn illustrations added a relatable and human touch, capturing the dynamic and enterprising spirit of The Hatch.
